In this course, you will work with local artist Lennon Michalski to create both traditional and digital paintings. The class will begin with each student making their own small-scale abstract painting, with help from Lennon. Once all of the individual paintings are complete, students will have the opportunity to digitally document their work, and learn how to manipulate the image with various editing software. Using their own documentation, found footage, and digital images, students will blend and layer imagery to make an abstract digital painting. All supplies included! PD credit is available for teachers. Find examples of this process at lennonmichalski.com in the digital section.
