220. Portrait Sculpture with Thomas Baker **CANCELLED**

Students will have the unique opportunity to sculpt the human portrait from a live model. Following a traditional and direct approach, participants will, step-by-step, create a finished modeled sculpture in plastilina clay.  A focus on building the form with contour line, geometric mass, study of light and shadow, and creating human expression will be highlighted. Previous drawing experience, especially life drawing is a plus but not required. Finished sculptures can exist as they are in the plastilina clay or be used as a mold for casting in metal or other mediums.
